The Nephio community continues to make steady progress, and we’re excited to share the latest release.
We’re excited to announce the release of Nephio R6, continuing our mission to enable open, cloud native automation for telecom and enterprise networks. This release reinforces Nephio’s core principles of intent-driven automation, configuration-as-data, and distributed actuation for managing cloud-native network functions at scale.
What’s New in Nephio R6
- Platform enhancements: Porch v1.5.6 with critical fixes, security patches, and performance improvements
- Security updates: Golang upgraded across all projects with dependency updates
- O-RAN O2 IMS integration: New REST Provision API enabling O-RAN O2 IMS functionality
- Documentation improvements: Enhanced aesthetics, bug fixes, and migration of Porch documentation to a dedicated site

What’s Next
Looking ahead, Nephio R7 will focus on further modularization and repackaging to simplify onboarding and support for new use cases.
