The Cloud Native Telecom Initiative (CNTi), an LF Networking project, continues its mission to accelerate cloud native adoption in telecom with the release of CNTi Test Suite v1.4.2. This update reinforces the initiative’s commitment to advancing confidence in cloud native technologies through comprehensive testing and best practices.

What’s New in v1.4.2?

This release expands the suite’s coverage and reliability, helping vendors and service providers validate their cloud native network functions (CNFs) and infrastructure more effectively. Key highlights include:

  • Two New Tests Added:
    • Deprecated Kubernetes Features: Flags usage of outdated Kubernetes APIs, annotations, and objects, promoting sustainable, future-proof deployments.
    • Encrypted ConfigMaps: Confirms that Kubernetes ConfigMaps are encrypted at rest in etcd, addressing key compliance and data security requirements.
  • Enhanced Stability: Includes critical bug fixes and improvements that harden test reliability and execution across scenarios.
