Essedum is a new initiative under LF Networking dedicated to accelerating the integration of AI data, models, and applications for the networking industry.

Built on seed code from LFN member organization Infosys and unifying multiple AI-driven efforts, this project provides a comprehensive framework covering all essential layers for building AI-powered networking applications:

  • Data Sharing & Preprocessing – Leveraging LFN’s AI Task Force’s Data Sharing Platform initiative to enable secure and efficient data exchange.
  • Domain-Specific AI Tools & Pipelines – Incorporating Thoth (Anuket) for data anonymization and other AI-driven networking solutions.
  • AI Application Building Framework – Powered by Infosys’ seed code contribution, offering a scalable foundation for developing AI-driven networking applications.

As an LFN candidate project, this initiative is designed for streamlined operations from day one, fostering collaboration and accelerating AI adoption in networking. Essedum marks a significant step toward a smarter, AI-powered networking future.

Framework accelerates the AI application development lifecycle by providing platform for data integration and AI model deployment. This framework connects with diverse data sources, applications, and external services via REST APIs, enabling the creation of a centralized data repository. Developers gain access to a rich ecosystem of pre-built tools, optimized libraries, and state-of-the-art AI models, significantly accelerating application development. Furthermore, integrated Responsible AI Toolkit ensures adherence to ethical guidelines and regulatory compliance, offering robust governance features for transparency, fairness, and accountability
